FACH pilots and aerial phenomena

On Wednesday, August 8th 2018, CEFAA hosted a group of retired FACH officers

The retired officers of the Chilean Air Force’s visit at the General Aeronautics Civil Administration’s Committee for the Study of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena offices lasted almost three hours.

On the occasion, CEFAA’s director Hugo Camus Palacios spoke about the Committee’s work, its procedure to investigate reports filed on our website www.cefaa.gob.cl or the email cefaa@dgac.gob.cl, and he also showed a summary of the type of cases that the office studies.

During his exposition, Director Camus described and showed recreated aeronautical events and their characteristics, besides solved aerial phenomena that were originally considered as unidentified flying objects. Those phenomena turned out to be birds, insects, airplanes, balloons, satellites and clouds, among others.
The retired FACH officers’ delegation was headed by Colonel (R) Sergio Molina, formerly at Civil Aeronautics General Administration’s General Secretariat, Museum and the Airstrip and Aeronautical Services Department.
